Amalia's Elite Dance Academy is based in 22 Central Square, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 6RY offering excellent training in the Vaganova method, Modern , Acrobatics, Adult classes and many more.

Founded by Amalia Mitsou, Professor of dance and graduate of '' Nikis Kontaxaki's'' Higher Professional School of Dance in Greece.

We offer a happy and friendly environment for children and adults to thrive in as well as maintaining a professional and disciplined approach.
Dance is not only extremely fun but promotes well rounded and confident individuals who are encouraged to reach their own individual potential.
Whether you are a complete beginner or want to extend or further your training, we have classes to suit, from Baby to Advanced, there is something for everyone.
All our classes promote co-ordination, confidence and physical development. We teach our pupils the love and enjoyment of dance and we have no greater pleasure in seeing a young child blossom and grow in strength, posture and personality.

Amalia Mitsou
Amalia's Elite Dance Academy is founded by Amalia Mitsou, graduate of ''Niki Kontaxaki's'' Higher Professional School of Dance from Athens, Greece.
Amalia started dancing at the age of 7 after her parents saw her great love for ballet. She started learning ballet at 'Aliki Giannetakis' Dance school and two years later was offered full scholarship as an exceptional talent . At the age of 10 she was offered a place and trained alongside with pre-professional dancers at ''Rallou Manou Professional school'' as well as ''Aliki Giannetaki's Dance School''.

In 1985 - 1987 her parents decided to move to Zimbabwe. During her years there she was chosen to be a dancer and member of Zimbabwe's National Ballet Theatre. She attended a series of seminars and took part in a number of productions. She also became a member of Harare's Reps Performing Arts Theatre and took part in several productions such as ''The King and I'' , ''Pinocchio'', ''The round table conference'' , Footloose'' and ''Grease''.

Returning to Greece she worked with distinguished dancers and choreographers, attended many seminars , made TV appearances on dance shows and competitions. She studied the Agripina Vaganova Ballet system and got certificates with the highest mark for all levels from Elementaire - Superior. At the same time she received certificates of the Royal Academy of Dancing up to Intermediate level.

In 1992 -1995 she studied at ''Niki's Kontaxakis'' Professional school and was a dancer of the Professional Dance team of ''N.Kontaxaki''. During that time she also danced with ''Katerina Pavlakis'' Dance team
Graduating she immediately started at ''Aliki Giannetaki's Dance school'' teaching , choreographing and helping in the school productions.

She worked for many years in Greece and abroad and in 2012 she moved to the UK where she worked as a dance teacher and a language teacher. She formed a successful dance team that took part in school productions, festivals and multi-cultural events.

During the summer holidays she works as a volunteer Dance teacher at GOYGB camp.
She is committed to providing the highest quality education for all students.Students of all ages and levels are welcome, whether they dance strictly for recreation or aspire to a career in dance.
Her goal is to provide excellent training to students in a fun, supportive and structured environment. She believes in teaching students to dance, but also train them for success in life.
Riley started his journey as a young breakdancer around the age of 9 when he discovered his passion. After many years of training and battles he began his professional career and training at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA). At that time he signed with his first agency and began to do small tours and music videos. He also began to teach his first street dance and breakdance classes. He then moved on to The Liverpool institute Of Performing Arts (LIPA). After being classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, areal hoop and musical theatre, he jumped straight into the performance world. Collecting a list of credits that include but are not limited to: Tik Tok, Netflix, Stormzy, UBISOFT and Paloma Faith. Riley has also performed internationally in 16 different countries such as Mexico, Bahamas, Orlando and Egypt. After coming home from his travels he made sure to continue teaching to help to give our future star dancers the best chance at also achieving their wildest dreams and goals ! :)
